Blog 1: Three pieces of art that represent me

This is a picture of a painting I created. It was created using a medium of a canvas and different colors of acrylic paint. I love to draw and paint especially with acrylics or watercolor. I painted this using the color red because I love that color and I decided to paint something to do with hearts because it represents love and love is a big part of my life. I believe that to be truly happy you must have some sort of love in your life whether its for a person or something that just keeps you going everyday. My favorite part of the painting is the middle because its like there is a light there and every time I look at it, it just reminds me of a warm, welcoming happy feeling.

This is a picture of a tattoo that I have. I have three tattoos and they all mean something very
important to me. The provenance of the design is from me. I really wanted to have a tattoo that was my own and not something that someone else created so I came up with this design. As mentioned above I am all about the love so I added hearts into the content of the design and I made the design elegant and feminine. There is an om there because that is a part of my religion and I strongly believe in it. I am very happy with the outcome of the tattoo because its a way to express myself and my art and it's unique because no one else has this tattoo and its my own creation.

This last picture is one that interested me because of the style of the painting and the subject. I like how the tree and the wind is kind of abstract looking. It gives the piece a different feel and the tree looks pretty and like it is moving in the wind which happens to be a bunch of swirls. I also like the colors in this piece. I like to surround myself with colors because life would be plain and boring if there were no colors. I like this painting because it has some nature in it like the tree and the hills and I love nature and I love to hike and draw nature as well.

  1. Hi Aditi!
I really like your 3 pictures! I lived in India for 6 months and learned Hindi, so I really appreciate the beauty of your tattoo! The tree in your last picture has similar curves to your tattoo! I also love the use of color in your painting!

  5. Yes, love is what makes the world go round! Your heart painting has a wonderful glow about it and as the light comes from the center, it denotes the place where love comes from (within us)

Very nice tattoo, I am not a big fan of tattoos, but that is the most beautiful, tasteful and delicate one I have ever seen. Most appear ugly and messy to me.

  6. I agree with you about the last picture. I love abstract images like that, they can be so simple, but so complex at the same time. It can really make you think.

  9. I really liked your tattoo design. It is very beautiful and elegant. I also really enjoyed the first painting of the heart. It reminds me of how it feels when you are in love, a warm glow that starts at your heart and slowly warms up the rest of your being. I really like it.

  10. The heart painting is excellent. The center of the heart does show the light and for me it represent a hope which always stays deep in my heart.

  11. Aditi...thank you for the comments on my blog. It has taken me some time post on others because I was not sure how to leave a comment. (Angel/Online courses are sometimes a challenge for me). Anyhow, I love your blog, and your art, simple yet full of meaning. I am a big fan of hearts and tatoos so I thought yours was great. Enjoy life, Sabrina
